- The King of Amber asserts that individuals not from Chaos are not bound by Chaos marriage rules.
- Corwin believes in monogamy, with valid reasons required for ending a marriage, and he has never abandoned a marriage commitment without cause.
- Amber's marriage laws are exclusive, similar to the Kennedy family.
- Marriages can be dissolved by mutual consent or with legally declared causes such as debilitation, death, betrayal, or infidelity.
- A marriage to someone outside Amber grants them a de facto title and court acceptance, provided they behave appropriately.

Potential Political Marriage
- There is discussion about a potential political marriage between an Amberite and a powerful, ancient being, possibly of fairy origin.
- The King wants the Amberite to understand the implications fully before entering the arrangement.
- Concerns exist regarding the potential spouse's long-term intentions and transparency.
- The marriage must occur in Amber, potentially at the cathedral.
- The King emphasizes that Amber cannot be drawn into conflicts with other realms due to this marriage.
- If conflict arises, the Amberite would need to resign their position.

Corwin's Captivity and Blood Extraction
- Corwin was recently freed after extended captivity behind 'the wall,' where he was subjected to blood extraction.
- The captors' purpose for collecting his blood remains unknown but is suspected to have strategic uses.
- There are concerns that not all of Corwin's blood was recovered or destroyed.
- Various magical means, including creatures of desire, Trump, and Pattern abilities, are discussed to track down any remaining blood samples.
- Worries persist about the potential use of Corwin's blood, including damaging or destroying the Pattern.

- Jericho offers an apology for not knowing Aubrey was present in Avalon during its destruction.
- Corwin accepts the apology, recognizing that continued animosity could be destructive.
- Jericho's impending coronation in the Courts of Chaos is seen as potentially beneficial for Amber's interests.
